Greetings to you all greatly beloved of God and welcome to another episode of our daily study of the Scriptures. We bless the name of the Lord God for the gift of life and for His benefits on us each new day. Praise be to God!
In our today’s episode 595, we shall be examining Hosea Chapter 12 titled:
This Is The Reason It Is Dangerous To Follow Bad Advise
The Bible says Ephraim feedeth on wind – He forms and aligns with empty and unreliable counsels or advice.
As a result of their allegiance with Assyria and Egypt, their hearts became turned away from God.
Everything that they started to do from that moment on became useless and destructive.
Treachery and acts of violence increase among them. They make treaties with Assyria and do business with Egypt. Verse 1.
Unfortunately for them, these countries (Assyria and Egypt) who they thought could help them eventually became their oppressors.
This is also happening nowadays with many underdeveloped and developing countries relying on developed countries for aids while embezzling their own resources and refusing to take care of their citizens.
Such countries end up becoming modern day slaves to these “slave masters”
In the same way, anyone who receives help from the devil does that at his own risk, because the devil has no free gift. There is always a string attached.
The big lesson in today’s chapter under study is that we should be mindful of who we take counsels and helps from.
Some counsels and aids are from the pit of hell but polished to look harmless.
In the end, it leads to total destruction as we have clearly seen from chapter 12.
Who are you listening to for advise?
Who are you patnering with for a particular course?
If your allegiance does not add value to human life and glorify God, then this is time to cut it off before it leads to destruction.
A word is enough for the wise.
To be continued…stay tuned and stay blessed.
Let’s pray:
Let’s declare this together: I choose my associations carefully. I refuse to take bad advise from anyone. My loyalty is to God helping me in advancing His Kingdom on earth. Amen.
