Good day Beloved of God in Christ Jesus.
We give glory to God for the gift of another new day, we thank God for the privilege of life and for His unending mercy and grace upon us always. Praise God!
Here is one of the main reasons evil happen to people and they feel separated from God.
STUDYING AND UNDERSTANDING THE BIBLE – PART 460
Isaiah Chapter 59
In today’s study Chapter, we will find answers to many questions people have been asking regarding why people face problems and why it seems prayers are not answered and they feel separated from God.
We will also be able to debunk the lies some people have been ignorantly telling against God that He was behind those evils happening on earth and that He kills people whenever they disobey Him or go against His will.
Let’s read…
Isaiah 59:1-8 TPT
Truly Yahweh’s arm is not too powerless to save you nor his ear too deaf to hear.
[2] Rather, your sinful deeds have built a barrier between you and your God. Your sins have made God turn his face from you so that he does not hear your prayers.
Note: In other words, your sin consciousness makes you feel God has turned His face away from your prayers. But the moment you get set free from sin consciousness, you will discover that God never went anywhere. He has always been there for us.
[3] For your hands are stained with blood and your fingers are dripping with the guilt of sin. Lies spill from your lips and your tongue mutters treachery.
[4] No one seeks true justice; no one pleads his case with honesty. They rely on their illusions and misleading lies; they conceive trouble and give birth to sin.
[5] They hatch harmful plots like snake’s eggs and spin their lies like a spider spins its web. Whoever eats their “eggs” dies and a poisonous snake gets hatched!
[6] Their “webs” cannot substitute as clothing, they cannot cover themselves with the lies they spin, nor can their works cover themselves adequately. Their actions are evil, and the wages of violence is in their hands.
[7] Their feet eagerly run after evil, and they are swift to shed innocent blood. Their imaginations are filled with evil; destruction and desolation litter their paths.
[8] They know nothing of the way of peace, and injustice is their way of life. Their paths are so crooked that no one who walks in them knows peace.
From verses 9 to 15, we will also see many results that sin produces since it comes in different forms and presentations.
Whichever way or form it appears, sin is still sin and you need to get set free from it.
How? Through believing in the death and resurrection of Christ the Messiah by shedding His blood as an atonement for our sins. It is only through faith in Christ that you can be reconciled with God and you will be forgiven and the power of sin and its consequences broken in your life. You then become a free person.
Apostle Paul writes comprehensively about this problem and the solution in Romans 3:1-end (please take time to read).
Also some solutions offered here as well…
Ephesians 4:24-30
[24]And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
[25]Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
[26]Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
[27]Neither give place to the devil.
[28]Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
[29]Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
[30]And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
It was because no one could rescue mankind from the bondage of sin that the Messiah had to come.
Remember blood must be shed before there could be remission of sin. See the proof here…
Hebrews 9:22
[22]And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
The above is the major demand from the Law and no one could fulfil it. Then the Messiah stepped in.
That’s what Isaiah was saying here…
Isaiah 59:16-19 TPT
And then he was astonished to see that there was no champion, not even one, who would rescue the oppressed. So then his own mighty power was released to deliver, and his own righteousness supported him.
[17] He put on righteousness as his body armor, salvation for a helmet; a garment of warring vengeance was his uniform and passion, his cape.
Apostle Paul gives us an elaborate explanation of the above verse in Eph 6:11-18
[18] He will repay wrath to his enemies and retribution to his foes, according to what they have done. Reckoning is coming to the islands for what is due them.
Note: The above verse is talking about the judgement day.
[19] From the west to the lands of the rising sun, the glory and the name of Yahweh will be held in highest reverence, for he will break in as a flooding, rushing river driven on by the breath of Yahweh!
To be continued…Praise God.
