Greetings to you all greatly beloved of God and welcome to another episode of our daily study of the Scriptures. We bless the name of the Lord God for the gift of life and for His benefits on us each new day. Praise be to God!
In our today’s episode 590, we shall be examining Hosea Chapter 7 titled:
The Real Reason Many People Do Not Get Blessed
In this chapter, we can see how Prophet Hosea described how God has tried every means possible to bless His people, including healing them, but unfortunately, they refused to give God the chance. They continued in their iniquities without minding the repercussions. They thought God did not see all they were doing in secret. Read verses 1-2
Even the leaders that were supposed to correct them were gratified with their evil deeds and guess what happened? They killed their leaders having made them drink strong drinks and they were drunken. They lost their senses and became vulnerable to assassination.
They developed strong hatred towards their leaders including the King and the Bible likened their anger and evil plotting to a heated oven, which eventually burst into flames. Read more here 2 Kings 15:10, 2 Kings 15:14, 2 Kings 15:25
The truth is that in any nation or family where the younger generations are not trained and empowered to develop good value system and they were not engaged productively; such younger generations usually end up destroying their leaders. This is already happening in some countries of the world. Places where their youths were supposed to be empowered, they ended up being killed. Any nation that derives joy in murdering their young ones cannot grow.
The Bible says righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people (Prov 14:34).
In verses 8-9, the people of Israel were likened to a half-baked loaf of bread. Meaning that they relied on other nations around them without realizing that doing that had already robbed them of their strength.
In verse 10, they were sharply rebuked for being proud. Instead of them returning to God, they were relying on Egypt and the Assyrians for help.
Instead of them to develop their own land so that their citizens will stop running away, they were busy applying for foreign aids which they would eventually embezzle and at the end, there would be nothing to show for it. They have forgotten that those giving them foreign aids do not really like them. They have their own selfish agenda, and they will in the end start making mockery of them. Egypt did that to Israel in verse 16 – 17
The remaining verses deal with God’s judgement coming upon those who have refused to repent and that’s the picture of what will be taking place on the last day.
To be continued…stay tuned and stay blessed.
Let’s pray:
I declare every satanic trap set for you or any member of your family shall not have any effect on you. You will always escape every snare of the evil ones, in Jesus name.
By the power in the name of Jesus, in any area of your life that you need help, help will locate you, in Jesus name. Amen.
The Lord God will command resources that you need to succeed in life from every corner of the world to come to your direction and when they come, receive the capacity and discernment to recognize and grab them, in Jesus name.
