STUDYING AND UNDERSTANDING THE BIBLE – PART 451
Isaiah Chapter 54…
Prophet Isaiah continues with an invitation for Salvation and restoration.
Isaiah 54:6 TPT
For I, Yahweh, have invited you to come back like a depressed, deserted wife. Like a young wife who has experienced rejection, I am drawing you back to me,” says Yahweh.
John says the same thing in His Gospel writing.
John 6:44 TPT
The only way people come to me is by the Father who sent me – He pulls on their hearts to embrace me. And those who are drawn to me, I will certainly raise them up in the last day.”
The truth is, even before you knew about it, God has already planned your Salvation from the beginning of time. He keeps drawing your heart each new day until you eventually receives Him.
Let’s continue with Isaiah…
Isaiah 54:7-10 TPT
“For just a brief moment I deserted you, but with tender feelings of love I will gather you back to me.
Again, the above statement didn’t come from God. God never deserted His people. It was the other way round. We have learnt about this several times on this platform. So, it should now be easily understood by people.
The same thing applies to verse below…
[8] In a surge of anger, for just the briefest moment, I hid my face from you, but with everlasting kindness, I will show you my cherishing love,” says Yahweh, your Kinsman-Redeemer.
God never hides His face from His people. People, out fear of what they did wrong hid themselves from God (it started with Adam and Eve), while God keeps searching for everyone and calling us back to Himself.
Jesus says similar thing in one of His parables…
Luke 15:4-6
[4]What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?
[5]And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
[6]And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.
God’s Love for us is eternal…
[9] “To me, this is like the time when I vowed that the waters of Noah’s flood would never again cover the earth. Now I vow to you that I will neither be angry with you nor rebuke you.
[10] Even if the mountains were to crumble and the hills disappear, my heart of steadfast, faithful love will never leave you, and my covenant of peace with you will never be shaken,” says Yahweh, whose love and compassion will never give up on you.
To be continued…Praise God.
