He committed no offence, we did. He didn’t deserve to die but we did. Nevertheless, because of His Love for us He took our punishment and died in our place.
He was mocked, ridiculed, spit at, flogged, made to carry a heavy wood (the cross), over a long journey and nailed to that cross……
