STUDYING AND UNDERSTANDING THE BIBLE – PART 412
Isaiah Chapter 40 …In conclusion…
Before we conclude chap 40 and move to Chapter 41, I want us to pay attention to a few things towards the closing.
Yesterday, we concluded Chapter 40 with the fact that God has the capacity to take care of your Salvation. He was the one that saved you through Christ and He is the one that will continue to preserve you and will not allow you to derail.
Philippians 2:13
[13]For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
All you need do is to consistently wait upon God to receive as much as possible from Him.
To achieve this greater work on earth, He put people in various offices (the five-fold ministry), using them to take care of the body of Christ and maturing the Saints.
We also learned about the greatness of God. Isaiah uses various descriptions to explain how great God is.
Most importantly, he said God does not grow tired or weary unlike men. That’s why God can cater for the need of the whole world effortlessly.
Isaiah even says:
Isaiah 40:28
[28]Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
Through God’s greatness, it is very easy for Him to empower the feeble and infuses the powerless with increasing strength.
Even young people faint and get exhausted; athletic ones may stumble and fall.
But those who wait for Yahweh’s grace will experience divine strength. They will rise up on soaring wings and fly like eagles, run their race without growing weary, and walk through life without giving up.
In essence, all you need do is wait upon the Lord.
How?
By praying and studying the Word of God.
When you do this, you will begin to notice some inner strength rising from within you and enabling you to do what seems impossible.
The Bible likens those who wait on God to an eagle. Note that an eagle has the longest life span among birds. Therefore, they will grow new feathers like the eagles and soar on high altitudes. These are figurative terms used to describe those who wait upon God.
You will be operating at an extraordinarily high level in the Spiritual realm.
What cannot limit God will not be able to limit you. Even if there are challenges, you will only be seeing them as an opportunity to sale through another higher level of achievement.
No one works and walks with God goes bankrupt. He will always come through for you in all situations. Make it a habit to wait upon God and you will be glad you made the right decision.
Psalms 103:5
[5]Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
To be continued…Praise God.
