Prayer is the primary means of communicating with God. The significance of prayer in the church can’t be quantified. A prayer less believer is a powerless one. The early disciples of Jesus gave themselves continually to prayer (Acts 2) while they await the promise of the Holy Spirit. They continued daily, with one accord in the upper room.
Thus, they were all able to receive the Holy Ghost baptism at Pentecost.
Jesus Christ emphasized the purpose of the church of Christ to the people at the Synagogue when he boldly exclaimed in Matthew 21: 13 that His house shall be called, ‘A House of Prayer.’ Though He was considered God the Son, yet He still continued all night in prayer, laying an example for us to emulate.
Prayer is the key to unlock the bank of God’s ideas. In our contemporary days, things have gone so absurd that even the very elect would have been swept away, had these dark days not been shortened. To set things back in order, we need a kneeologian.
Someone once wrote that there is a place of discovering God by personal experience that we may have the richest measure of the divine presence and become a body wholly filled and flooded by God Himself. An affliction could be in the form of injustice, hatred from people, oppression by task masters, hunger and family problems etc.
In all these;
- You can pray like Daniel and stop the mouth of lions.
- You can pray like Elijah and bring down fire from heaven.
- You can pray like Moses and the sea will obey you
- You can pray like Hannah and God will give you a Samuel
- You can pray like Deborah and be a mother in Israel
- You can pray like Esther and save a nation…
However way you choose to pray, we don’t need a theologian for a revival. If we truly want the power of the Holy Spirit to sweep through our land again, what we need is a kneeologian. “Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom” (Luke 12:32). God is willing to give us the kingdom, if only we choose to pray unto him with a believing heart. Jesus in John 16:24 says, ‘Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name; ask, and ye shall receive that your joy may be full.’
According to Charles Spurgeon, the prayer meeting is the place to meet with the Holy Ghost, and this is the way to get His mighty power. If we would have Him, we must pray with greater fervency, we must watch with greater earnestness, and believe with firmer steadfastness. It is therefore time to activate our spiritual altar of prayer, both collectively and individually and cry out to God to send upon us the former and the latter rain. The prayer meeting is indeed the appointed place for the reception of power.

- In this group, we will learn not to only CAMP as brethren but also to MARCH, and to FIGHT as soldiers. The CAMPING time will be for planning, training, and sharpening of skills and weapons. The MARCHING time will be to follow closely the objective of the Mighty man in battle. During the FIGHTING time, we will boldly enter the grounds of the enemy with our armours polished and shining.
- It is a group that remains an army whether at battle or at peace.
- In this group, you are free to share your prayer requests and devotionals as we go through them together.
You are here for a PURPOSE; To populate heaven and depopulate hell. You are here by the INSPIRATION of the Holy Spirit and this is still subject to your personal choice.
