What Jeremiah Chapter16 Will Make You Know About Relationships

Why would God prohibit Jeremiah from mingling with those people at that time?

The reason is simply because God did not want him to be corrupted or produce another corrupted generation. Because the sins of these people had already reached unbearable threshold and they were already awaiting judgement.

So, whatever happened to them was brought upon them by their sins and rejection of solution to their sin’s problem. Read more in verses 10-13.

If we are to interpret this using the lens of the epistles, we will see something similar here in 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 (TPT)

Lying In God’s Name, Jeremiah Last Man Standing, Famine Looms

Even the priests and other prophets available at that time deserted God and were busy lying in the name of God. They twisted God’s message of warnings and were busy preaching messages contrary to God’s Word. They were turning people’s hearts against Jeremiah and God’s Word, that telling have nothing to worry about, that no enemies would come and invade the land, that there is nothing like war or famine. Two Warning Signs Given To Jeremiah To Preach About

In Chapter 13 of the book of Jeremiah, we could see the two warning signs that the Prophet used to form the basis of his message to the people of Judah and Jerusalem.

The first sign was “The Linen girdle” also known as sash or waistband.

The second sign was “The Wine Jar” used for storing wines in those days.

Enemies Invasion and Escape Route

You need to watch out for the following major signs in your life. They are indicators of the invasion of the devil to sift you.

¬When reading and studying the Word of God is becoming a burden.
¬When you can no longer worship God like before.
¬When you can no longer pray or speak in tongues.
¬When your prayer life is becoming weaker each new day.
¬When you no longer have interest in connecting with other believers to charge you spiritually.

When you are starting to notice the above signs, it’s an indication that your life has been besieged by the enemy.

They are only waiting for the final signal to strike.
