This chapter begins by speaking of the past of the tribe of Ephraim when they were still very much in the fear of God. Ephraim was a powerful tribe to the point that when they spoke, the other tribes of Israel were always afraid of them. As a matter of facts, many tribes looked up to them in many ways.
