Prophet Ezekiel received this parable while he was still in exile on the very day King of Babylon was beginning another invasion of Jerusalem. The date was 1oth day of the 10th month of the 9th year in exile, which also corresponds with the ninth year of the reign of King Zedekiah in Jerusalem. 12 For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective].
