Good day Saints in Christ Jesus. We bless the name of the Lord for the opportunity to present to you another episode of our daily study of the Scriptures. We thank God for His grace each new day and for God sparing our lives. Praise be to God.
In our today’s episode 571, we shall be examining the book of Daniel Chapter 2 titled:
The Major Secret Of Success Lies In Your Ability To Solve Problems For People
Today, we shall be looking into how Daniel was able to solve the problem for the Babylonian King, who took him captive alongside his people to a strange land.
Sometimes, when we face challenges in life, we get overwhelmed by the negative effects those challenges are having on us without taking time to examine the potential blessings embedded in them.
During the time Nebuchadnezzar invaded Jerusalem and captured it because of their sins, remember not all of them were committing sins. Some people like Daniel and his friends were there, who feared the Lord and hated what their fellow Jews were doing. Despite that, when the consequences came, all of them shared in it, but what made the difference was the fact that those who were doing the will of God were preserved and God turned the situation around for them as blessings.
That’s what happened to Daniel and his friends.
Many people died in that war, some were killed by diseases, some escaped to Egypt and the majority relocated to Babylon.
We have seen in chapter 1 how God coordinated the selection process for the royal service job opportunity in a way that Daniel and his friends were picked. Not only that, they were also found to be ten times better than their counterparts who were competing for the same role.
The truth is that anywhere a child of God finds himself, he will always be distinguished for favour. Something must happen to ensure he emerges a light in that environment.
That is what happened in Chapter 2 of our study today.
It was time for Daniel to be promoted having gone through a series of tests and preparations and he passed. And then the king had a dream so complicated that no one knew its interpretation, not even the renowned astrologers, fortune tellers, sorcerers, wizards, and magicians in Babylon.
The king became worried, having summoned all them and no one could tell him what he dreamt about let alone interpreting it. These magicians told the king it was a difficult task.
You see, when God is about to announce you or promote you, He will make sure you appear in a place where your service will be needed. A place where there is a problem and only you will be able to solve that problem.
Some people are reading this piece now and you are holding unto a solution in your hand that a lot of people, even a whole generation is waiting for its deployment.
The solution could be spiritual, academic, financial, marital, technological, etc. Some may not even know it yet. But with time, you will begin to see it manifest gradually.
All you need do is keep learning and keep on upgrading yourself. The opportunity to deploy the solution is coming.
Daniel and his friends faced a deportation crisis to Babylon. There would be times they did not get water to drink or food to eat on their way to Babylon. There would be times when they would feel cold or hot or even fall sick along the way. There would be times they would face some threats from wild animals on the road. They might even have considered the option of giving up, but then they kept on going. They knew it was just a phase and it would pass.
They kept on going until they landed in Babylon and the announcement was made and gradually the four of them were picked. They passed the first stage; they crushed the second stage until they were eventually commissioned for the task.
Now, back to the dream story, it happened that the king’s advisers told the king what he was asking for (i.e looking for who would tell him the dream he had and then its interpretations), was a very difficult task and no one on earth would be able to do that except the gods. Little did they know that the solution bearer was already among them. Upon hearing that the king became angry and ordered that they be executed for failing to provide him a solution Read verses 1-13.
During their conversations, Daniel and his friends were not there. It was later he heard the rumour of the execution and he knew if he did not do something fast, the same sword of execution was dangling on his head.
You see, when you are a carrier of solution for your generation, you cannot afford to fail God and your generation. You must do everything possible and legitimate to rescue them. That’s why those who carry glory, those who carry potentials, those who carry potential solutions, you cannot see them living anyhow. You cannot see them wasting their time on things that have no eternal benefits.
You will see them studying, learning, researching, looking for every possible means to get the problem solved. They do not feel ok seeing people suffering around them. They must do something, and it must be quick.
Therefore, Daniel went to the commander of the king’s bodyguard named Arioch, who was to carry out the king’s execution order and obtained a royal permission for more time to process it and return with an answer. Verse 16.
In verse 17, he went home and informed his friends about what happened in the palace. They all prayed about it and asked God for guidance.
Remember in chapter 1 verse 17, God already gave Daniel the ability to interpret vision and dreams and you can only interpret what you see or know. So, Daniel needed to ask God to know exactly what the king saw in his dream.
It wasn’t long at all that the answer came, because God had a hand in it and wanted to promote Himself through the life of Daniel. So, that same night that Daniel prayed, the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision. And then Daniel worshipped and praised God.
Without further ado, Daniel told Arioch he had an answer for the king and so there was no need putting the astrologers to death any longer.
As if Arioch was not even interested in killing those nobles, he immediately took Daniel to the king.
Before giving an answer to the king, Daniel needed to validate the initial claim of his counterparts that there is no wizard, magician, astrologer or fortune teller who can provide answers to the king’s question.
Daniel needed to do this first in order to clear the mind of the king of any future unreasonable demands from his advisers and using Daniel as a case study for them in the future.
Having taken that huddle out of the way, Daniel then informed the king about how he was able to get an answer for the king – From God (read verse 28).

Because it was time for Daniel to be announced and promoted, God allowed him to be taken to a foreign land and gave him a rare solution that no one could lay hands on. I declare, the Lord God will deliver into your hand, an uncommon solution to solve the problem of your generation, in Jesus name.
